With the 616verse "gone", will this mean an end to the sliding timeline? I get why it's there, but it's surely a massive hindrance to certain things, as recent arguments about Mr Dugan have illustrated?

I wouldn’t think so, no. he sliding timescale works a lot more often than it doesn’t, and is still the most functional methodology that anybody’s come up with to handle the passage of time in a structure as large and complex as the Marvel Universe.
